Don’t try this. The website linked above changes addresses several times before settling on a mirror site, contains a little talking person in the corner to get your attention, and won’t let you simply leave when you want to leave. It pops up “Just wait!” and offers discounts to you. These are all signs of a scam website. The poorly-written and poorly-designed advertisements are another sign.

Acai is not bad for you. In fact, it’s extremely healthy. However, you’re looking for a “magic formula” to reduce belly fat. There isn’t one. Acai’s power lies in antioxidants, not its ability to reduce fat. Even if it DID work that way, there are huge chances that the website you’re ordering from suffers from shady business practices. If you enroll in a free trial, they could charge you $ 60 for shipping, or enroll you in a program in which you’re not interested—-charging your credit card before you have a chance to cancel. I’d be willing to bet their customer service numbers are also impossible to reach, just in case you have a fraudulent charge on your card.

So even if acai berries are a magic remedy (and they’re not), don’t fall in with a scam business. You can buy acai juices and other products at your local grocery store, but do it for your health, not the fat loss. Acai berries, like pomegrantates before them, are the “health food du jour” and a lot of businesses (legit and illegitimate) are capitalizing on the buzz.
