Question by : 15 year old girl — how to work out for army?
Hi guys. I’m a 15 year old girl, and I just finished my sophomore year of high school. I want to join the army after senior year. Over the summer, now that school is finished, I want to put a lot more attention on working out. I’m a pretty tiny girl, and as of now, pretty weak. But I’d like to get in shape, and stay in shape. Can anyone help me with making a workout schedule? I plan to work out everyday. Right now I have to work out in my house unless I can convince my parents to let me run around outside (I live in a sketchy neighborhood and my parents are quite protective). I don’t have any workout machines, though I have found a way to effectively do certain weight exercises with my electric guitar (it works, i promise). So yes, what kind of routine should I have? I know basic weight exercises, ab exercises, and I’ve taken a couple kickboxing classes over the years. How long for each exercise, and should I alternate days with upper body or lower body muscles to give them time to rest and rebuild?

And any tips on what my diet should be?

Also, this is a purely shallow question asked out of curiosity, I know for girls it is harder to look muscular, but how long would it take do you think for my biceps to get toned? Please don’t tell me guys don’t like girls with muscles because I don’t swing towards guys (…), and this is just a question asked out of curiosity.
