Question by Jeff Green: Im trying to lose abdominal fat, what should I do?
What’s the best way to lose abdominal fat? I have a think layer of abdominal fat, and I am prolly about 13% body fat or so right now.
I really would like to lose this abdominal fat and get some killer abs for the end of summer – any ideas on what works for this?

Start with cardio to burn some of the fat (crunches build muscle UNDER the fat so you’ll only look bigger!)
Start with a brisk walk a few times a week for 20-30 minutes, then increase to 40 minutes, then add some jogging into that and before you know it you’ll start losing some of the fat! THEN start doing our ab workouts.
Remember, diet is extremely important. Abs are made 75% in the kitchen (nutrition) and 25% from exercise.

Question by AL: What upper-body workout equipment would you recommend?
I’m considering working out this summer to improve my upper body, mainly the abdominal section. What equipment would you recommend?
Testimonials are always welcomed. If you’ve used the equipment before, please say so. How well did it work for you? When did you start seeing results?
Thank you in advance!
Oh, and by the way, I don’t want bulky equipment that can’t be moved around easily. I just want portable equipment.

To be honest, I don’t think you need much equipment. You can do lots of things such as push ups, sit ups, planks, squats, and lunges with your bodyweight.
To work the upper body, a simple and time-tested solution is a set of adjustable dumbbells and maybe one or two elastic resistance bands. With these you can work out all the muscles in your body.
Specifically for abs, look into a medicine ball, which is a basketball-size weighted ball. Many athletes use them for training the abs.

Does it work or will I be wasting my money and time?

Wasting money. I have like 50 diet books in my garage. I just started doing Miranda Kerr’s diet and exercise routine, and weight falls off like nothing.
