You’re a good weight, so the best thing really is to learn to love your belly, and have fun with it. Better to be confident with a muffin top than depressed… Worse still is depressed and skinny. And skinny people get depressed a lot. I should know, I’m underweight. If we could swap weights, I’d be happy at 155, despite being 5’4. I’d make the most of it. Wear skinny jeans to show it off (because chubby is good in skinny jeans, I heard that from a girl… Shame she thinks she’s too fat for it to work on her. But I know for sure, chubby girls with tons of confidence, even flabby gassy ones, are very attractive) I highly doubt you’d enjoy being practically dead, though, at 6.5 stone. There’s no muscle or anything. Only bones…

You sound healthy to me. If you eat a bit more protein, do pushups, I’m pretty sure abs will come pretty quick, and abs can make a belly ok. Certainly seems with way with Italians… I usually see the look on cartoons of Italians… That’s animation class for you.

Actually losing the belly will be harder than learning to love it… Takes even more exercise. You can’t spot train to lose weight, and if your natural body type is apple, getting a small belly will be harder. You’ll have to avoid trans fats, those make your belly bigger… So do other fats, but trans fats actually move fat to your stomach. That’s awful. If you’ve been eating too much trans fats, and you switch to monounsaturated, you might be lucky, and end up with a bigger butt or something, which will help balance things out. Even if you wanna be thinner in the long run, it might help to have more to lose. Just being logical here, I myself have never had enough fat to want to lose any… But if you’ve at least lost an inch or two, and you’ve been on the trans fats, perhaps building weight somewhere else will make losing more belly inches easier on your body, less likely to end up underweight. Better really to consult a doctor, or a trainer, really.

Try ab exercises. That’s what I do like, all the time.
I have abs now, and they look great.
Believe me, it works.

Good luck!

underweight but still fat around belly?

Question by errorX: underweight but still fat around belly?
everywhere else im skinny

17 years old – 5’5″ – 96 lbs

My tummy is really odd. the ribs and hips stick out…. So you’d think its thin but no its not flat. I have the pouch “woman” have, that im not to bothered but above it where my ribs end i have a line going acorss and one a little above my belly button. When people stand up there tummys go flat yet these lines make mine look like its rolling (and the lines are from where it rolls anyway) there not big rolls but i dont like them…………acttualy i dont even know if it is rolling when i stannd up cos of the lines, it makes it look like it is. When i suck in everything goes so so so flat and thin i think do i acctualy need to lose the weight then….. I think i some how need to lengten the torso area cos when i pull the skin up or strech it looks fine. hmmmmmmmmmm what can i do

Btw they dont go away when i stand up for ages, could they be to do with doing crunches (i did them for like 2 months i have been stopped doing them for like 3 weeks)

(also dont tell me to avoid fatty / sugary / fast foods cos i dont eat em, i havent for over a year but i did have a sweet last week =D haha )
